System Engineer

Are you a System Engineer looking to grow your career and enhance your technical skills with cutting edge cloud technologies? Do you have strong O365 and Windows Server experience? 

Multiple System Engineer opportunities with established and growing Cloud Services firm based in Broward County. 

As part of the Cloud Services Group, you will be responsible for handling virtualization, cloud deployments, migrations, and implementations, in a client facing capacity. 


RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Deployment and cloud implementation projects, as well as escalation and backend support.
  • Installing VMware, server OS, apps and migrating data to new system.
  • Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools.
  • Serve as trusted advisor to team members and customers on best practices, advanced troubleshooting, and future systems designs.
  • Design and implement system requirements, processes, and design specs based on organizational needs, security/compliance policy, and industry trends.
  • Designing, implementing, and troubleshooting:
    • Multi-site Active Directory environments.
    • Virtualization environments.
    • Storage area networks.
  • Configurations (including but not limited to routing, routing protocols, switching, internet, and overall network architecture).
  • Designing, implementing and or migrating environments in Azure.


TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE:

  • Office 365 Migrations using tools such a BitTitan MigrationWiz with knowledge beyond email transfers. 
  • Azure Cloud Administration - Azure administration (Azure AD, Azure servers).
  • Windows Server administration and root cause analysis.
  • RDS & Remote Access.
  • On-Prem to Azure Migrations using Azure Site Recovery & Azure Migrate.
  • Azure Backup and Disaster Recovery.
  • Firewall Administration (Fortinet).
  • Administration Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, & Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Microsoft Intune for Mobile Device Management.
  • Some knowledge around MS Autopilot.
  • Multifactor Authentication.
  • SPAM Filtering technologies such as MS ATP & Mimecast.
  • Scripting knowledge such as Python & Powershell.
  • Performance Benchmarking and tuning.
  • VDI administration.

Data Warehouse Architect

COMPANY PROFILE

Our client is a fast-growing, national multifamily home builder with active projects across the Southern United States. 


PRIMARY FUNCTION

This position reports to the BI Manager (PM & Marketing IT Operations) and will work closely with the outsourced DW & BI team to rapidly design, deploy, populate and manage our enterprise data warehouse. This individual will primarily focus on collaborating with business stakeholders, end users and Power BI Developers to create, model, and populate data schemas within the AHS Data Warehouse, resulting in clean and consistent data for usage in Dashboards and Reports.  


They will be focused on ensuring the successful journey of data into, and through, the enterprise Data Warehouse by managing its ETL/ELT, quality assurance, metadata, and data lifecycle processes.  The position works independently and functions as an effective team member in a variety of BI/DW related projects. 


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, manage, and maintain an optimized Data Pipeline Architecture in Azure Cloud.
  • Work closely with source systems owners, users, outsource BI/DW team and 3rd party vendors to      identify data sources and integrations.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders, users, and BI Developers to create Physical and Logical DW Data Models to meet new and enhanced Dashboards/Reports requirements.
  • Maintain Logical and Physical Data Models with corresponding Data Dictionaries while following Guidelines, Standards, and Procedures.
  • Manage data ELT processes, using Azure Data Factory (ADF), to ingest data from source systems such as SAP, Yardi, Resman, Monday.com, UltiPro into Data Lake and DW.
  • Partner with Strategy and Performance group and BI Developers to drive usage-first mentality into Data Warehouse delivery.
  • Troubleshoot data integrity issues.
  • Work in an Agile Development environment and participate in Agile Development ceremonies.
  • Communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications.
  • Be a thought leader on improving our data pipelines and technologies.
  • Implement and enforce DW and Data Best Practices and Methodologies.
  • Understand our security and compliance requirements related to our data processes.


EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 3 -5 years of experience with database development and database integration.
  • At least 3 - 5 years of SQL experience.
  • At least 3 - 5 years of experience delivering ETL, ELT, data warehouse and data analytics capabilities.
  • At least 3 – 5 years of working with dimensional models including understanding facts and dimensions, star schemas, and data modeling techniques.
  • Experience with DW development process (Data Warehouse, ETL, Data Mart).
  • Proficiency in Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
  • Experience with building      and optimizing pipelines/ELT.
  • Advanced knowledge in relational databases (SQL, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc)
  • Knowledge in NoSQL database.
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Azure.
  • Knowledge in Python, PySpark or Scala languages.
  • DevOps practices and infrastructure as code (Terraform).
  • Knowledge in Big Data technologies including Hadoop, Spark, Airflow.


KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Experience with Power BI or similar BI tools (ie Tableau, Cognos, etc.)
  • Experience with SAP, Property Management Systems (ie Resman or Yardi), UltiPro or Monday.com.
  • Experience with agile methodology.
  • Experience in Real Estate or Construction industry.
  • Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese is a plus.

Software Engineer

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • 8+ years or more of experience with software development, and with data structures and algorithms.
  • 5 years or more of experience testing, maintaining, and/or launching software products, and 5 years of experience with software design and architecture.
  • 3 years of technical leadership and people management experience.
  • Direct programming experience in popular JavaScript variations including: Node.js, Angular, React, etc.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related degree, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in software development in the following: Java, J2EE, Struts, JSP, and other Java enterprise solutions.
  • Demonstrated expertise working in: full-stack development, infrastructure, web application development, mobile application development, Linux environments, embedded systems, security and privacy, cluster deployment and orchestration, machine learning, natural language processing, networking, databases, and data marts.
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps and the creation and management of CI/CD pipelines at an enterprise scale with experience with one or more cluster deployment and orchestration technologies and how they overlay the underlying OS and network stack. Experience with deployment and orchestration technologies (such as Docker, Kubernetes, Mesos, OpenStack, Puppet, Chef, Salt, Ansible, Jenkins). Understanding of open source server software (such as NGINX, RabbitMQ, Redis, Elasticsearch)
